Product Flops – April 2017

Product Flops - April 2017

1. Hourglass – Ambient Strobe Lighting Powder.
You guys – I don’t get what the hype is with this product. I know that it’s supposed to be a “natural highlight” but seriously, you can barely even see it on the skin. Not to mention it retails for $38.. Thanks.. but I’ll pass.
2. Benefit – ka-BROW! Cream-Gel Eyebrow Color.
I tried to like this SO bad. My eyebrows are basically invisible without anything in them, so I was really hoping for some great payoff when it came time to this “cream-gel” product. It did have pigment, but was definitely not “smudge proof” like they claim. Not to mention, it dried out SO quick. Oh and the “brush” that is included with it is complete junk. I’m not exaggerating when I say, it’s good for MAYBE 3 uses.
3. Urban Decay – Naked Skin Weightless Concealer.
Ok, you all are gonna think I’m crazy because I did just “love” this product not too long ago. So you ask.. why is this all of the sudden on my failed list?  I noticed when it actually set on my skin, it looked really dry.  I’m talking Sahara-Desert-Dry.  Are dry undereyes ever a good look? 🙁  The wrinkles I didn’t even know I had became really accentuated.
4. Benefit – Gimme Brow Volumizing Fiber Gel.
It’s a brow gel, there is no reason why anyone should be spending $24 on this.
5. L’Oreal Infalliable Pro Glow Foundation.
Again, another product I was REALLY hoping to love.  I always go for the “glowy/dewy” look, so when this product first hit the shelves I was driving to every target in my 30 mile radius to find my shade. After multiple attempts, I can honestly say I am not a fan. Is too dewy even such a thing? I don’t know if it was the combo of my moisturizer + the foundation, but within an hour I looked like a full on grease ball. Not to mention, it wore off way too quickly.
